The Devastating Floods in Outback Queensland - Please read 🙏 The scale of the flooding in Outback Queensland is truly staggering. An area the size of the entire state of New South Wales is now submerged, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake. This catastrophic event has had a profound impact on the region, with the loss of wildlife and livestock being particularly heartbreaking. It's estimated that over 150,000 livestock, the lifeblood of many outback queensland farming communities, have perished. Cows, sheep, horses, kangaroos, emus, lizards, and countless other animals that had endured the harshest droughts have now succumbed to these floodwaters. The magnitude of this loss is simply devastating. For the rural communities of Outback Queensland, the road to recovery will be arduous. Some towns are expected to remain flooded for weeks, it's expected it could take heavily affected local farmers 5 - 10 years to recover from this flooding event. Despite the resilience and strength of these rural communities, they need our support now more than ever and as fellow Australians let's spread the word! Local Queensland charities @farmangelsau and @ruralaid, are on the ground providing critical aid - delivering much-needed fodder for stranded livestock, emergency supplies for displaced families, and a helping hand to start the rebuilding process.
