Who doesn’t love sunflowers! It’s not just their bright, vibrant appearance that makes them so beautiful and cheerful, they’re also great at soaking up toxins. In fact, millions were planted after a Tsunami destroyed reactors in a Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan to help the land recover.
Perhaps this is what makes an entire field of them a little ‘extra’ special.
Sunflower fields have also brought great hope to Australian Farmers in drought affected areas as they don’t require a lot of water. We are lucky to be now seeing the first blooms and the introduction of long table lunches and events in these stunning sunflower fields.
